Story of Elegance
When glancing at my calendar yesterday, I realized that we are just about 11 weeks away from Christmas. Hard to believe isn’t it? Christmas is the same day every year, but it seems to come around faster with each passing year. I don’t know about you, but more and more my goal during the holidays is to keep it simple. While I try hard to let my mantra guide everything during holidays, I admit to being “a little extra” when it comes to holiday decorating.
Stampin’ Up! provides a huge selection of holiday crafting projects – mind-boggling almost. But even with that, it is quite easy to create simple and lovely holiday greeting cards with our products. Over the next few posts I will be sharing some our our fantastic holiday selections and offering ideas on how to use them to create your own simple and elegant cards to share.
Today I am playing with our So Many Stars Bundle which is comprised of the So Many Stars stamp set and the Stitched Stars dies. This set is fun, fun, fun! And I like the fact that it’s super easy to craft cards quickly with them.
Here are a few examples of very simple cards that can be quickly created with the So Many Stars Bundle. If I can do it, trust me, you can too!
Creating a beautiful card using only paper, ink, stamps and perhaps a few embellishments is called simple stamping in the Stampin’ Up! world, and I love it. This is a useful principle when you need a card in a hurry, or when you need multiples cards for giving such as Christmas cards. This card was super easy to make and one that you could proudly share with friends and family.
The clean crisp look of simple layers is very pleasing to the eye. The Stitched Stars dies make it easy to deliver a card with a fresh, bright look. To create this card, I simply cut three stars, one into the large white layer, and to smaller ones to layer in the center of the large die cut. A little stamping and d-o-n-e.
It’s always fun to take a traditional holiday theme like JOY and pair it with a non-traditional color. Doing this also expands the ways in which you can use your stamp sets and dies. This card, just by changing the color, could easily be used for any celebration such as a baby or bridal shower. A simple star die cut in the middle of the top layer and simple stamping allowed this card to come together quickly.
Before I move on, I’ve just got to say a word about the Delicata Inks that were recently added to our product line. These inks are gorgeous and have a beautiful shimmer. It’s hard to see the shimmer in the card images. Take a closer – – – – isn’t it pretty? This is Golden Glitz,. We also carry Celestial Copper and Silvery Shimmer so that your paper creations can shimmer and shine in multiple colors!
