Story of Elegance
Happy Friday!
When this week began, I had so many things I was excited about. The launch of our new Annual Catalog, placing my order for all my favorite new products that weren’t available during pre-launch, finishing up my final Mother’s Day cards and getting them mailed, hosting the first of a planned weekly Facebook live, lunches and dinners to catch up with friends and attending my bi-monthly book club meeting. My week was crammed full of things I love doing and then life happened. COVID positive on Tuesday. Ugh! (That’s why I didn’t post on Tuesday.)
Thankfully I am vaccinated and boosted, so my symptoms are close to negligible. Even so, quarantining and coughing put the kibosh to most of my plans for the week but not all. I try to craft several times during the week and this week was no exception. Today, I decided to keep things simple for two reasons, one I’m already late posting and two my new products just arrived and I can’t wait to open the box and start playing. I made a promise to myself that I wouldn’t open the box until my post is completed. In hindsight, that was not a good promise. 🙂
As the title of the post shares, my card today uses the new Botanical Layers stamp set and it is a simple stamping card.
Here is the card I made:
I paired the new In Color Orchid Oasis with Fresh Freesia for this sweet and simple thank you card.
For the inside of the card, I stamped on the corner to coordinate with the front. This still leaves leave plenty of room for me to write my note.
Elegance Made Easy
This card takes only minutes to make.
First, make your cuts:
- 2022-2024 In Color 6″ x 6″ DSP Orchid Oasis – 1/2″ x 5″ and 2 1/4″ x 6″ ( for envelope)
- Fresh Freesia card stock – 3 1/4″ x 4 1/2″
- Basic White card stock – 3″ x 4 1/4″ and 4″ x 5 1/4″ (for inside)
Next, complete the stamping. From the stamps in the Botanical Layers stamp set, stamp the two corners of the smaller Basic White panel using Fresh Freesia and Orchid Oasis inks and the sentiment in Orchid Oasis.
Add the Orchid Oasis DSP strip to an A2 card base made with Thick Basic White card stock. Layer the stamped panel onto the Fresh Freesia panel and adhere to the card on top of the DSP strip.
Use Stampin’ Blends to color different sizes of Pearl Basic Jewels and add them to the card front.
Stamp the Basic White panel for the inside and adhere to the inside of the card using your favorite adhesive.
Finally, add the coordinating DSP to the envelope flap, stamp the envelope front to your liking and you’re done!
