Story of Elegance

Welcome!  It’s Friday.  It’s Spring.  The sun is shining in Ohio.  I’m working my way through the new Annual Catalog.  Life. Is. Good!

I hope by now that you have your Wish List of all the new products that you’re planning to purchase, and that you have a new product or two or twenty that you’re excited to use.  Today I’m crafting with the new Simply Elegant Suite.  Of course, I was enamored with the name, but the products in this suite – Oh My!  Talk about elegance.  This suite is definitely properly named.

The Simply Elegant Suite contains the Elegantly Said Bundle – (stamp set and punch),  Simply Elegant  12 x 12 Specialty Designer Series Paper, and Simply Elegant Trim.

If you like foil accents and shimmer in your paper, you will love the Simply Elegant Specialty DSP.

Here is the card I made with the Simply Elegant Suite of products.  I also added the Hammered Metal 3D Embossing Folder as it’s design coordinates beautifully with the design of DSP that I chose to use.  Birthday card made with Stampin' Up! products

A Closer Look

I used the punch for the sentiment, and decided to go all the way with my white and gold theme and heat embossed the sentiment with our Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  To complete the sentiment panel, I added the Gold Simply Elegant Trim, ( the suite includes both gold and silver trim), and  finished with a Gold Metallic Pearl.  I used a birthday sentiment, but this design could work using any of the sentiments in the stamp set.

Elegance Made Easy

Making this card was simple   I simply cut a 4 1/8″ x 5 3/ 8″ panel of Basic White stock and embossed it with the Hammered Metal Embossing Folder.   Then I cut a 3 1/2″ x 5 3/8″ panel of DSP.  I centered DSP onto the embossed panel and then I added it to a card base made with Thick Basic White card stock.

To finish the project a added a piece of the DSP to the envelope flap. All dressed up and ready to send.
