Story of Elegance
Happy Tuesday Everyone!
Today, as well as the entire week, I’ll be sharing cards that I created with some of our new Online Exclusive products. These are products that are only available online and not in any of our catalogs.
The first of the products that I played with is the Simply Zinna bundle – stamp set and coordinating dies.
I love the floral images in this bundle and they stamp beautifully.
I chose to do a little coloring with blends and I think the end result is great. I’m no colorer, so if I can make this, so can you.
Here’s the card I created for today:
I’m loving the texture and dimension on this card. Propping up the ends of the sentiment panel with Dimensionals allowed me to slip the base of the flower bunch behind it.
Elegance Made Easy
Following are the quick steps to recreate this card.
First, make your cuts:
- Basic Black card stock – 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″
- Basic White card stock – 4″ x 5 1/4″ (2 pieces) and 1 1/4″ x 4″ for sentiment
- Die cuts:
- Stamp the floral image onto a large scrap of Basic White card stock using Black ink and color using blends. I used Light and Dark Flirty Flamingo, Light Lemon Lolly for the flowers, Light Granny Apple Green and Light Old Olive for the leaves and Dark Old Olive for the stems. Die cut the colored image using the die.
- Punches
- None
Layer the Basic Black panel onto the front of an A2 card base made with Thick White Basic White card stock. (Note: An A2 card base is made by cutting an 8 1/2″ x 11″ piece of Thick card stock in half on the long side. Score the 5 1/2″ by 8 1/2″ (half sheet) of card stock at 4 1/4 “.)
Use the Cane Weave 3D embossing folder to emboss one of the Basic White panels and add to the card front.
Stamp the sentiment onto the 1 x 1/4″ x 4” sentiment using Black ink. Add the sentiment to the bottom of the embossed panel using Dimensionals on each end.
Add the die cut sentiment to the card front, tucking the floral stem behind the sentiment.
Next, add Blooming Pearls around the die cut floral.
Complete the project by stamping a flower on the envelope front and flap.
Finding Your Creative Elegance
In the end, the beauty of paper crafting lies in its ability to connect us with our own creativity and with others. It’s a chance to slow down, unplug, and create something beautiful and meaningful with our own two hands. So why not give it a try today? You never know where your creativity might take you.
