Welcome to InKing Royalty’s April Blog Hop! During this year’s blog hops, we are enjoying a year of celebrations. This month’s projects celebrate Springtime, so I hope you are ready for gorgeous Spring colors, flowers and butterflies – and maybe some sweet baby animals. We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
Flowers. Check. Butterflies. Check. Spring colors. Well, almost! I love everything about spring. It’s a time where everything seems brighter. There’s more sunshine. Beautiful spring flowers and trees are in bloom. Birds are chirping. It’s such as wonderful time of the year, full of new beginnings and alive with promise. Next to fall, it’s my favorite season. Happy Spring!
For my first card today, I opted to go with a color that’s not typically associated with spring – Basic Black, and pair it with a pretty saturated color, Rocco Rose. I love these two colors together, so I thought – why not? I used a cheery sentiment to add even more bright to this non-traditional spring pairing.

Non-traditional Spring
Products:
- Stamp sets: Easter Promise (flowers) – Honey Bee (sentiment) – Butterfly Gala (butterflies)
- Card Stock: Thick Whisper White – Whisper White – Rocco Rose- Basic Black
- Embellishments: Rose colored craft store gems
Of course, I couldn’t resist going for something a little more traditional, so as I thought about spring, I also thought about the promise of summer. So here’s my pick featuring Whisper White and Pool Party – a light and airy combination that’s perfect for spring.

A Springtime Hello

- Die set: Nature’s Thoughts (floral panel and sentiment panel)
- Card Stock: Thick Whisper White – Whisper White – Pool Party

I love the black with rose. Both cards are so pretty and so Spring!
I smiled big when I saw your card. I like the black and rose colors together, and the card is oh so pleasant.
Basic Black and Roccoco Rose…how Parisian Spring of you! Lovely card.
Such sweet cards, Sheryl! I love how you’ve incorporated sentiments from Honey Bee in both of these flowery cards. So glad you hopped with us today! ♥
Both cards are very pretty. Flowers and butterflies, and more flowers – can’t get more Springy that that!
Pretty cards! Love how you also stamped the envelopes.
So pretty. Butteries and flowers for spring. Bring it!
