Story of Elegance
Hello and Happy Tuesday!
I hope that you had a great start to your week so far. I started my week with my annual checkup yesterday, so it’s all good from there. Doctor visits are at the top of my least favorite thing to do, even though I have a wonderful primary care physician.
I ended my day on Monday though, with some fun time in my craft room and making my card for today’s post. And life is good!
I’m just loving the flowers in the Wonderful World stamp set, and I paired it with items from a couple of must-have products for my project. Along with the stamp set, I getting tons of use of the Very Best occasions stamp set and two die sets, Stylish Shapes and Mini Pocket Envelope. These die sets are easy to miss because they aren’t tied to a stamp set bundle.
As a reminder, you can get this beautiful stamp set FREE as bundle (it comes with lovely coordinating Designer Series paper) with a purchase of $100 or more until August 31st, while supplies last.
Here is the card I created:
I really like the details in the Mini Pocket Envelope dies. The edging of the mini rectangle die is very elegant and coordinate nicely with the stitched dies in the Stylish Shapes die set.
Elegance Made Easy
Following are the quick steps to recreate this card.
First, make your cuts:
- Soft Succulent card stock – 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″
- Evening Evergreen card stock – 3 5/8″ x 4 7/8″
- Basic White card stock – 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″ – embossed using the Fern 3D embossing folder
- Die cuts:
- Using Soft Succulent card stock, cut a square using the second largest square in the Stylish Shapes die set
- With Basic White card stock, cut the rose that has been stamped in Soft Succulent ink using the rectangle die and the sentiment stamped in Soft Succulent ink using the oval die from the Mini Pocket die set
- Punch:
- None
Adhere the Soft Succulent panel to an A2 card base ( 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored on the long side at 4 1/4″) made with Thick Basic White card stock.
Layer the Basic White embossed panel onto the Evening Evergreen panel and then to the card.
Glue the stamped rose die cut to the Soft Succulent square die cut and add to the card.
Add the sentiment beneath the Soft Succulent square on the card from and embellish with a bow made with Silver Simply Elegant trim and a Silver pearl from the Festive Pearls pack.
For the inside, I stamped a rose to coordinate with the card front.
To finish, stamp a rose on the envelope flap and front using Soft Succulent ink.

Hi Karen. I’m so glad you like it. You’re gonna case? Woohoo!!!
Hi Sheryl,
Lovely card. Could be used for sympathy, too. May I ask you where you got the beautiful verse inside
of your card?? That is sooo Beautiful? Hope you can share the name of the stamp set.
All the Best,
Michelle Eaton
Hi Michelle – Thank you for the kind words. For the inside, I just typed it onto a document in MS Word and changed to color to match using the code chart I found on the Demo website. Then I printed onto a 4 x 5/14 piece of cardstock. I do this a lot when I don’t have an SU stamp that I want to use.
