Happy Friday!
Brrrrr! It’s been really cold here in central Ohio, so I’m really looking forward to the weekend because we’re supposed to to get warmer temperatures. I’m hoping and praying that the east coast doesn’t get hit hard they way the forecasters are predicting. I think we’d all be just fine if all that crazy weather stayed in the water.
Since it’s cold and gray here, and of course, I wanted something bright and sunny to add a little cheer to my day. That’s why I decided to work with the Abstract Beauty paper. I paired the paper with the Hello Beautiful bundle and let the paper do all the work and I love that.
Here is today’s card:

I like the gold foiling in these papers and the Just Jade and Gold Braided Ribbon was perfect to highlight both the gold and the hints of Just Jade in the paper that I chose. The Dots embossing folder was great way to highlight the dots in the paper as well.
A Closer Look
Elegance Made Easy Here’s how to recreate this card.
To start, cut a 4 1/8″ x 53/8″ piece of Just Jade card stock and emboss it with the Dots embossing folder that is part of the Checks and Dots embossing folders. Add the embossed panel to a card base made with Thick Basic White card stock.
Next, add a cut a 3 3/8″ x 4 5/8″ piece of Gold Foil and top it with a 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″ piece of DSP. Wrap a piece of Just Jade and Gold Braided Ribbon around the center of the combined panel and add to the card.
For the sentiment, stamp the thank you sentiment from the Hello Beautiful stamp set onto a piece of Basic White card stock in Just Jade ink. Die cut the sentiment using the oval shape from the Beautiful Shapes die set. Adhere to the braided ribbon using Dimensionals.
Finish by adding a Brushed Brass Butterfly to the corner of the sentiment with a tiny Gold Gltter gem on its back.
