Story of Elegance

Welcome to Tuesday!  I’m looking forward to another glorious day and I hope that you are too!  I absolutely love making cards and sharing them. I’m continuing this week to share cards from the August InKing Royal card challenge.  Today I’m sharing card 13 of the 15 day challenge.

My card features the Arrange A Wreath Bundle.  This versatile set is comprised of the Arrange A Wreath stamp set and the coordinating Wreath Builder die set.  I love saving money and the fantastic thing is that by purchasing these two items as a bundle, I save 10%!  And because I’m a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator I save even more!  Who doesn’t love saving money on your hobby?  Talk about double the fun!

I combined some of my favorite colors for this card:

Here’s how I created this card:

1: Cut a 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8 ” piece of Whisper White card stock and emboss using the Layered Leaves Embossing Folder.  Although this folder is retired, it’s one of my favorites so I use it often.  I think it provides the perfect backdrop for my wreath.

2:  Cut a 4″ x 4 1/2″  piece of Petal Pink card stock and adhere to the embossed panel.  Adhere to a card base made with Thick Whisper Whisper White card stock.

3.  Stamp a wreath base in Cinnamon Cider ink using the stamp from the Arrange a Wreath stamp set onto a 3 3/4″  x 4 1/4″ piece of Whisper White card stock.

4:  Stamp the Give Thanks sentiment into the center of the wreath in Early Expresso ink.

5:  Die cut the top layer of the wreath in Pool Party card stock using the leaves die from the Wreath Builder die set.   Adhere to the wreath base.

6: Add Elegant Faceted Gems  around the leaves wreath layer.
