Story of Elegance
Welcome to InKing Royalty’s July Blog Hop! We are embracing some (or all) of Stampin’ Up!’s beautiful blues for today’s hop – there are so many great ways to showcase the blues in the current color families! We are excited to share our creations and hope you love them! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
I’m so happy that our blog hop this month features the color blue. I’ve been stuck on blue for the last week or so. There are so many shades of blue in our color line up and I love it!
As I shared last month, I look forward to the monthly InKing Royalty Blog Hop because it gives me an opportunity to be deliberate about doing something outside of my normal card creating. What I’ve decided to do differently this month is to make a card without flowers. (Gasp!)
Yes, I’m clutching my pearls. 🙂
So here is my flower-free creation……AND it’s stamp free too! Double whammy.
The Designer Series Paper is always a go-to when you need a quick card that is easy and beautiful.
For this card, I let the Stargazing DSP and the Gold Celebrations Specialty DSP do all the work. I celebrated with the back side of the Specialty DSP. teehee.
For the sentiment and embellishments, I went with the Wanted to Say dies in Silver Foil and Night of Navy card stock and I used Dimensionals to pop both up on the card front.
Super easy!
Look at all the pretty blues in this DSP. Wow!
For the inside of the card I added a computer printed sentiment and stars die cut from the DSP.
To complete the ensemble I added DSP to the envelope flap and a couple of die cuts to the front of the envelope to coordinate.
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you’ll hop along to the next stop on the blog hop,

This card is gorgeous! I love everything about it!
I always struggle making cards for teenaged boys. This is perfect for them. I will definitely be making some of these for my stash. Clever to print your inside sentiment. At first I was so blown away at how perfectly aligned you got your stamps…But I wasn’t surprised 😉
How sweet is this?! And how smart are you to showcase the back side of the specialty paper?! I love everything about this gorgeous card. So glad you were able to hop with us today, Sheryl! ♥
Brilliant use of the back of the specialty DSP! I like using silver much more than gold and this is fabulous!
Great card for a masculine birthday! I love the backside of that DSP! Another excellent card, Sheryl!
Thanks for sharing. Loved your “pearls” comment, too! hahahaha!
Super special! The stars really sparkle.
OMG you are too funny. I always love your flower cards, but this is great too! Love your creation!
WoW. This card would be great for some of the guys (and a couple of kids too) I love the DSP but had no use for the stamps and dies. Now I can see I really need the DSP!
