It’s Friday – And a Good Day For a Little Gratitude:
In a fast-paced world, it’s easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of everyday life and forget to express our gratitude for the little things that bring us joy. However, taking a moment to acknowledge and appreciate the positive aspects of our lives and the people in them can have profound effects on our well-being.
Today’s card offers a way to say thank to some one who has had a positive impact. I think it’s important to be grateful and to let others know of your gratitude as well.
Gratitude is more than just saying “thank you.” It is a mindset, a way of acknowledging the abundance and blessings in our lives. By cultivating a sense of gratitude, we can shift our focus from what’s lacking to what’s present, fostering a greater sense of contentment and happiness. Studies have shown that practicing gratitude can improve mental health, enhance relationships, and increase overall life satisfaction.
Greeting cards are a beautiful way to express our appreciation and convey heartfelt messages. They provide an opportunity to infuse our gratitude into a tangible, personalized creation.
With a mindset of gratitude, I found the perfect sentiment to use for today’s project in the Bold Bouquet stamp set. Here’s what I created:
I layered the circle dies from the Stylish Shapes die set for a quick design element.
A Closer Look
Elegance Made Easy
Following are the quick steps to recreate this card.
First, make your cuts:
- Lost Lagoon card stock – 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ and 2 1/2″ x 5 3/8″
- Inked Botanicals DSP – 4″ x 5 1/4″ and 2″ (Floral Print) x 5 3/8″ (Lost Lagoon print)
- Very Vanilla card stock – 4″ x 5/14″ (inside)
- Die cuts:
- Use the third smallest circle die from the Stylish Shapes die set to cut two circles in Lost Lagoon and one circle in Very Vanilla stock.
- Use the second largest circle die from the Stylish Shapes die set to cut a circle in Lost Lagoon card stock.
- Punches:
- Use the 2 3/8″ Circle punch to punch a circle using the floral print from the Inked Botanicals DSP.
Layer the large Lost Lagoon panel and DSP panel then add to the front of an A2 card base made with Thick Very Vanilla card stock. (Note: An A2 card base is made by cutting an 8 1/2″ x 11″ piece of Thick card stock in half. Score and the 5 1/2″ by 8 1/2″ (half sheet) of card stock at 4 1/4 “.)
Add the small strips of Lost Lagoon and DSP horizontally across the lower portion of the card front.
Adhere the punched DSP circle to the large die cut circle and add to the card front.
Place the two Lost Lagoon circles inside the larger circle. Stamp the sentiment using Calyso Coral ink onto the Very Vanilla circle and add to the card front.
Finish by adding the green Festive Pearls around the top portion of the sentiment panel.
For the inside, I added a strip of coordinating DSP.

To complete the project, stamp flowers on the envelope front and add DSP to the flap to coordinate.
