Story of Elegance
Hi!
I’m happy that Friday is here! Why you ask? My grandson is going to his first dance tomorrow and I think my daughter and I are more excited than he is! I love celebrating fun firsts.
This week I’m playing with some of my new products for the first time too. Happy! Happy! Joy! Joy!
The card I’m sharing today is from the new Botanical Layers stamp set.
Here’s the card that I made:
I have no idea what types of leaves or fronds are in this set, but I really like them! These are the colors I used for them.
It’s a nice of soft colors, including our new In Color Orchid Oasis. I really like this palate and I also included them on the inside of this card.
Elegance Made Easy
Following are the quick steps to recreate this card.
First, make your cuts:
- Basic White card stock – 4″ x 5 1/4″ – emboss using the Fern 3D embossing folder
- Basic White card stock- 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″
Next, complete the stamping:
- Using the ink colors of the palate stamp the leaves and spatter as shown onto the 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″ Basic White panel
- Stamp the sentiment onto a scrap of Basic White card stock using Orchid Oasis ink, then die cut using the banner die in the Stylish Shapes die set
Add the completed panels and sentiment to an A2 card base made with Thick Basic White card stock.
Finish by stamping the envelope, adding a bow made with Orchid Oasis, Fresh Freesia and White ribbon and a Pearl Basic Jewel to the sentiment.

I love all those colors together and how pretty the look on the front, inside, and the envelopes. Truly elegant.
Georgeous card, love it.
Thank you!
