Story of Elegance
Hi! It’s Thankful Tuesday and I’m glad you decided to stop by and checkout my card creation today.
Today, I’m sharing a card that I created for my Elegant Sentiments Today Facebook Thursday video on June 9th.
This card uses the new Bottled Happiness stamp set and Twigs and Sprigs embossing folder.
I’m sure that your eagle eye caught my little sneak peek. I embellished this card with the new Red and Green Adhesive Backed Pearls that will be available in a couple of weeks in the new July-Decemeber 2022 Mini Catalog.
I chose these Pearls because they are the perfect blue-green hue that I needed for this card.
I stamped the inside with a few flowers to match the card front.
Elegance Made Easy
Following are the quick steps to recreate this card.
First, make your cuts:
- Basic White card stock – 4″ x 5 1/4″ and dry embossed with the Twigs and Sprigs embossing folder
- Basic White card stock – 3 1/2″ square
- Balmy Blue card stock – 3 5/8″ square
- Die cuts: None
Next, complete the stamping:
- I started with the vase first, but you don’t have to. Stamp the vase in Crumb Cake ink onto the bottom center of the 3 1/2″ Basic White. Use the two-step flower stamps to stamp the flowers in the vase using Balmy Blue for the flowers and Old Olive for the leaves. Stamp the sentiment of your choice in Balmy Blue ink.
Layer the embossed Basic White panel onto an A2 card base made with Thick Basic White card stock. Then layer the stamped square onto the Balmy Blue square and add to the card front.
Add a ribbon made with 3 strands of white twine from the Bakers Twine Essentials Pack.
Finish by embossing the envelope flap and adding Green Adhesive Backed Jewels as desired.
