Butterfly Bouquet Has Arrived!

Welcome and happy Tuesday! I’m so excited today. Signs of spring are everywhere. My tulips and daffodils are breaking ground, the days are getting a little longer and here in oh-so-gray Ohio, the sun is shining more. Not to mention the warming temperatures. Yes! I welcome all these wonderful signals of a soon coming spring!

Another reason I’m excited is because there is a new set of products available as a preview of the new annual catalog that will be coming in May. This beautiful set is another reminder of spring and who doesn’t love a beautiful butterfly? Well, there’s plenty of ways to enjoy butterflies with these new products. I’m delighted that we can craft with them now as we await the new catalog. If this set is any indication, the new catalog is going to be absolutely awesome! A Closer Look

Like all of our Designer Series Paper, these designs are simply beautiful. I’m delighted to continue using them to create more wonderful pieces of hand-crafted kindness to share with others.

Following are the steps I used to create this card:

1. Cut two 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ panels of two different designs Butterfly Bijou Designer Series Paper and cut on a diagonal using the Paper Trimmer.

2. Align two different design pieces to form an 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ panel.

3. Cut a 6″ piece of Silver Edged Metallic Ribbon and adhere to the seam of the panel created in step two. Adhere the panel to a card base made with Thick Basic White card stock.

4. Die cut 3 butterflies from Silver card stock using the Brilliant Wings die set. Adhere the butterflies diagonally on the card.

5. Create the sentiment panel. Use a scrap of Basic White card stock to die cut the sentiment panel using Stitched Nested Label dies. Stamp the sentiment from the Happy Thoughts stamp set in Gorgeous Grape ink. Adhere to the card.

6. Add a coordinating pearl from the Pastel Pearls.

Add coordinating DSP to the envelope flap, and stamp butterflies on the envelope front and this lovely project is complete!
