Story of Elegance

Hello and welcome!

It’s Friday and I’m thankful.  Actually, I thankful for every day.  Even though I’m retired, it still feels good to see Friday roll around.  Maybe because it means I get to spend more time with friends and family members who are working.  I love that!

I’ve been in a creative slump lately.  But that is never a problem when there is a Stampin’ Up! catalog nearby.  Our catalogs are crammed full of beautiful projects that I can simply CASE (Copy and Share Everything).  That’s exactly what I did with today’s card.  I knew I wanted to use snowflakes and I found my perfect card on page 36 of our August-December 2020 Mini Catalog.

Here’s the catalog card.

The snowflakes embossed on the banner are a nice touch that adds even more texture to this wintry card.

Here’s are steps to create this card:

1: Cut a 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ panel of Just Jade card stock and adhere to a card base of Thick Whisper White card stock.

2. Add a 4″ x 5 1/4″ panel of Feels Like Frost DSP to the Just Jade panel.  NOTE:  You can grab this beautiful DSP (and lots of other goodies) during our GIANT YEAR-END CLOSEOUT that’s going on now until January 2, 2021.  Items are available only while supplies last!

3: Cut a 1 3/8″ x 4 1/4″ strip of Just Jade card stock and emboss using the Winter Snow embossing folder. Use the Banners Pick A Punch to cut the banner on one end.  Adhere to the card front.

4. Use the So Many Snowflakes die set to die cut three snowflakes; one each of Just Jade, Whisper White and Silver Foil card stock.  Use glue to stack as shown.

5.  Create the sentiment panel by stamping the sentiment in Just Jade ink on a 3/4″ x 3 1/4″ strip of Whisper White card stock.   Cut a 1″ x 3 1/2″ piece of Just Jade card stock for the sentiment background.  Glue the stamped sentiment to the Just Jade background.

6.  Add silver thread to the back of the sentiment panel and adhere to the card with Dimensionals.

7.  Adhere the snowflake assembly to the card using a Dimensional.   Add a clear Basic Rhinestone to the center of the snowflakes.

8. For the inside of the card: Stamp the sentiment and Snowflakes using Just Jade ink.
