Story of Elegance
Happy Tuesday!
Well today, I pulled out a stamp set and coordinating die set that have been around awhile – Color & Contour stamp set and Scalloped Contours die set. Both of these products are available in the current Stampin’ Up! 2023-2024 Annual Catalog.
This is a great go-to set to keep in your stash – you can create so many cards using it.
Here’s today’s creation:
I stacked blank die cuts to add dimension to the flowers, and Dimesionals to pop-up the sentiment.
Elegance Made Easy
Following are the quick steps to recreate this card.
First, make your cuts:
- Basic White card stock – 4 1/8 x 5 3/8″, 4 1/4″ x 5 1/8″, 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″
- Basic Black card stock – 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″
- Die cuts:
- Stamp two flowers on scrap Basic White card stock and color with Blends as desired, die cut using the die from Scalloped Contours. Die cut 4 extra flowers using scraps of Basic White card stock. Stack two of the blank die cuts behind each of the colored die cuts.
- Stamp sentiment onto a scrap of Basic White card stock and die cut using the rectangle die from the Nested Essentials dies.
- Punches
- None
Layer the largest Basic White panel using foam adhesive sheet onto the front of an A2 card base made with Thick White Basic White card stock. (Note: An A2 card base is made by cutting an 8 1/2″ x 11″ piece of Thick card stock in half on the long side. Score the 5 1/2″ by 8 1/2″ (half sheet) of card stock at 4 1/4 “.)
Use a small blending brush to lightly add Melon Mambo ink around the smallest Basic White card stock panel. Adhere to Basic Black panel and then to the card front.
Add the prepared die cut flowers to either side of the card front.
Place the sentiment on the card front using Dimensionals.
Finish the card front by adding Clear Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
For the inside of the card, stamp and color a small portion of the flower to the corner.
Complete the project by stamping and coloring a flower on the envelope front and flap. (I used Melon Mambo and Old Olive Blends.)
