Story of Elegance
Happy Friday!!
I just love the sound of that. Happy Friday!!
I hope that your week has been wonderful and that you’re geared up for a fun weekend. I know that’s my plan.
Wednesday when I was working on cards to post, it was one of those days where nothing fun was coming to mind. When that happens, I almost always head for a single floral design. It’s my go-to.
And of course, it’s simple and elegant and just my thing.
For this card, I pulled out the Quiet Meadow stamp set, and a couple of the Perennial Postage dies and went to work.
Here’s today’s creation:
I like all the 2023-2025 In Colors, and Boho Blue is one of my favorite blues so it’s the star of today’s show.
Elegance Made Easy
Following are the quick steps to recreate this card.
First, make your cuts:
- Boho Blue card stock – 4 1/8 x 5 3/8″
- Basic White card stock – 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ (two panels)
- Die cuts:
- Use the Perennial Postage dies to die cut a rectangle and a square using scrap Basic White card stock
- Punches
- None
Layer the Boho Blue panel onto the front of an A2 card base made with Thick White Basic White card stock. (Note: An A2 card base is made by cutting an 8 1/2″ x 11″ piece of Thick card stock in half on the long side. Score the 5 1/2″ by 8 1/2″ (half sheet) of card stock at 4 1/4 “.)
Use a stamp positioning tool (Stamparatus or Misti) and Boho Blue ink and a one of the Basic White card stock panels to stamp the large floral image at an angle across the center of the panel.
Place the postage die cuts on top of the stamped image secure with low tack tap and stamp the die cuts.
Emboss the stamped panel using the Basics 3D embossing folder and add to the card front.
Use blending brushes to add color to the corners of the postage stamp die cuts and use Dimensionals or Foam Adhesive sheet cut to fit to the back of the stamped postage die cuts to add them to the card front.
Finish the card front by adding foiled or stamped sentiment, Clear Basic Rhinestones and a bow made with silver trim and white ribbon.
Complete the project by stamping a flower on the envelope front and flap.
Finding Your Creative Elegance
In the end, the beauty of paper crafting lies in its ability to connect us with our own creativity and with others. It’s a chance to slow down, unplug, and create something beautiful and meaningful with our own two hands. So why not give it a try today? You never know where your creativity might take you.

Hi, Sheryl! Your card is beautiful! I love how visually well-balanced it is. I also love how you stamp part of the flower on the front & the rest of it on the 2 panels. VERY creative!!!
Hi Karen! Thank you for the kind words and feedback. I’m glad you like it. This flower is one of my favorites.
