Story of Elegance

Happy Friday!  I hope that your week went well and you’re all set for a fabulous weekend.

I can say I have had a ton of fun this week playing with stencils and embossing folders.

Today’s card features the Lisa Horton Dahila and Roses folder.

All of her folders are gorgeous and I love creating with them.

Here’s the card that I made:

Elegance Made Easy

Here are the directions to create this A2 sized card.

Use a 5 1/2″ square card base.

Cut a 5 1/8″ square piece of white card stock and use Pina Colada Matt Blending Ink to blend color around the rim about 1/2″ in on all sides.  Adhere the panel to the card front.

Use white card stock panel that is 5″ square to ink blend the image using the Dahlia and Roses stencil set by Lisa Horton crafts and ink blend using one of your favorite ink colors.  For this card I used  Premium Dye Based Matt Blending ink by Lisa Horton – Pina Colada, Sugar Candy, Coral Beach Garden Sage, Painted Eggshell and Natrual  Turquoise.

Use the coordinating die that comes with the Dahlia and Roses embossing folder to die cut the blended image.

Lightly mist the back of the die cut with water and emboss using the Dahlia and Roses embossing folder. Add the embossed panel to the card front.

Complete the project by using a black pen to to dot around the image.

Not a fan a color?  No worries, this folder embosses beautifully and you can create a lovely black and white card with it.  Here’s an A2 sized card to get your creative juices flowing.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Have a lovely week!  I’ll be back on Tuesday with another easy and elegant card to share.   I hope you’ll stop by.

Until next time,
