Story of Elegance
Happy Tuesday! I hope that you had a wonderful weekend.
My weekend was busy helping to complete the final bit of work needed to put my mother’s house on the market for sale.
Finally all the work is behind me and I can focus on getting things organized here at home.
Even though I didn’t get much chance to craft this weekend, I was able to spend a little bit of time on Monday.
Crafting with Lisa Horton products gives you flexibility to craft with just a little bit of time or when time doesn’t matter much.
Today’s card features the Lisa Horton Vase of Florals embossing folder.
Here’s the card that I made:
This card comes together so quickly!
Elegance Made Easy
Here are the directions to create this slim line card.
Use whatever slim line card base that you have.
Cut a panel of black card stock that is 1/4″ all around smaller than the card front and adhere to the card front,
Then cut a piece of foil that is 1/8″ all around smaller than the black card panel and dry emboss the lower portion of the panel with a textured embossing folder of your choice. I used one of the Basics 3D embossing folders from Stampin’ Up!
Use the Lisa Horton Vase of Florals embossing folder to emboss the foil panel and add to the card front.
Add small black embellshments across the foil panel where the textured embossing ends and add a sentiment of your choice.
Just that quickly your beautiful card is done!
If you don’t care for foil, you can use the coordinating stencils and your favorite inks to stencil the image in color. Here’s an example.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Sheryl, your card is stunning!!! I can’t believe how clear both embossings are! Usually the second embossing flattens out the first, but your card shows both very well! I love the foil!
Thanks for sharing another elegant card!
