Story of Elegance
Hello and welcome to pre-Friday! 🙂
Today I’m sharing another card that I made with the Framed Florets bundle. If you haven’t taken a look at the this bundle, you might want to give it a peek. The floral images are beautiul and are perfect for coloring, and heat embossing. But as you’ll see with today’s card, they are great just inked.
Here’s the card I made:
The photo belies the true beauty of this card. Leave it to me to choose a card with both textured black card stock and foil. Even though I couldn’t get a good image, I wanted to share it anyway because it is so easy to make.
Here’s a close-up to help you see the detail of the die embossed frame around the sentiment.
A Closer Look
For the inside, I stamped and colored flower to coordinate with the card front.
Elegance Made Easy
Following are the quick steps to recreate this card.
First, make your cuts:
- Basic Black card stock – 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4 ” dry embossed with the Framed Florets dies.
- Copper Foil – 3 3/4″ x 5″
- Die cuts:
- Oval using Basic White card stock and the die from Framed Florets dies.
Add the Basic Black embossed panel to an A2 card base made with Thick Basic White card stock. Note: An A2 card base is made by scoring a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of card stock scored and folded at 4 1/4″.
Stamp the Flower and Sentiment onto the Basic White oval die cut using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. For the sentiment I used kindness matter stamp from the new Beautifully Happy stamp set.
Place the stamped oval onto the center of the embossing on the card front.
Add Champagne Rhinestones Basic Jewels to the oval sentiment panel.
To complete the project, stamp and color flower on the envelope front and flap to match the flower on the card front.
