Story of Elegance
Hello and Happy Tuesday!
As you can tell from the title, I’m really loving this Framed Florets bundle. Today I’m pairing the bundle with the Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper (DSP.) Our beautiful DSPs make crafting a beautiful card a breeze.
Here’s the card I made:
This paper is so pretty and it makes this card. All you have to do is add embellishments and a sentiment.
There’s lots of dimension and texture in this card.
A Closer Look
For the inside, I added a tiny strip of the DSP close to the bottom to coordinate with the card front.
Elegance Made Easy
Following are the quick steps to recreate this card.
First, make your cuts:
- Evening Evergreen – 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″
- Favored Flowers DSP – 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Die cuts:
- Oval using Basic White card stock and again using Blushing Bride card stock with the die from Framed Florets dies.
Add the Evening Evergreen panel to an A2 card base made with Thick Basic White card stock. Note: An A2 card base is made by scoring a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of card stock scored and folded at 4 1/4″.
Wrap the DSP panel vertically in the center with a coordinating ribbon and add to the card front. I used Blushing Bride Frayed Grosgrain ribbon – it’s retired. You can achieve the same look using Petal Pink card stock and Petal Pink Soft Polyester ribbon from the current line.
Stamp the sentiment onto the Basic White oval die cut using Evening Evergreen ink.
Put the stamped Basic White oval into the Blushing Bride frame and add to the card front using Foam Adhesive Sheet cut to fit.
Add a bow the bottom of the ribbon and Pearl Basic Jewels to the sentiment and the bow if desired.
To complete the project, add DSP to the envelope flap to match the card front.
You can shop with me anytime to create your own fantastic projects!
