Story of Elegance

Hello and Happy Tuesday!

I’m continuing to play with my new products in the January-April 2023 Mini Catalog.  Today’s product was actually part of an early release last year, but I’m just getting around to using it.  The possibilites are endless with the Framed Florets bundle and I love that.

The stamp set features beautiful floral images and mixed font sentiments, both of which are my favorites and the coordinating Framed Florets dies are beautiful and include fabulous frames that can be mixed and matched.

Today’s card is super easy but it looks like you spent a lot of time on it.  Gotta love that.

Here’s the card I made:

Friendship card made with Stampin' Up! products

Framed Florets – Friend

This is my first time using the Caned Weave 3D embossing folder and I am liking it a lot.  It inspired me to add the Natural Finish Ribbon to my card.  The two just seem to go well together.

Look at all the texture.

A Closer Look

I really enjoyed the simple coloring on the floral image, so I added it to the inside of the card.

Elegance Made Easy

Following are the quick steps to recreate this card.

First, make your cuts:

  • Basic White card stock – 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Fitting Florets DSP  – 4″ x 5 1/4″ – die cut to create the frame and sentiment panel
  • Die cuts:
    • As noted

Emboss the Basic White panel using the Cane Weave 3D embossing panel.

Add Natural Finish Ribbon horizontally across the emboseed panel and add to an A2 card base made with Thick Basic White card stock.  Note:  An A2 card base is made by scoring an 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of card stock scored and folded at 5 1/4″.

Stamp the floral image and sentiment onto the die cut frame center using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

Color the floral image using Stampin’ Blends.  I used Dark and Light Petal Pink for the flowers and Light Granny Apple Green, Dark Old Olive, and Light Soft Succulent for the leaves.

Assemble the frame and sentiment and add to the card front.

Add Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels to the sides of the frame.

To complete the project, stamp and color the floral image on the envelope front and emboss the envelope flap.
