Story of Elegance

Hello!  Happy Friday!

It’s actually Thursday evening as I write this post.  Central Ohio is expected to get a big wind storm tonight.  In case we lose power, I figured better safe than sorry, so here I am.  Being proactive.  🙂

The card that I’m sharing today are from a class I did earlier in the week featuring the Gift of Hope stamp set.  I love the simplicity of the set and it makes the cutest Easter card.

My color palate is full of light spring colors.

Ahhhh.  I’m so ready for spring in full bloom and Easter is right around the corner. Lots of reasons to celebrate!

Here’s the card I made.

Coordinating Envelope and Card Interior

I love cards that are simple and elegant and easy to create.  This one fits the bill.  It’s so sweet and delicate.  The left side of the card has a scripture stamp Matthew 28:6 that reads He is not here for He has risen. From a retired stamp set.

Following are the steps I used to create this card:

1. Cut a 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ panel of Soft Sea Foam card stock, embossing using the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder and adhere to a card base made with Thick Basic White card stock.

2.  Cut a 3 5/8″ x 4 7/8″ panel of Granny Apple Green card stock and adhere to the embossed panel.

3. Cut 4″ x 5 1/4″ panel of Basic White card stock.   Use Basic Gray ink to stamp the floral image.  Color the flowers and leaves using Light Daffodil Delight, Light Soft Sea Foam and Light Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends.

4.  Use the Double Oval punch with Granny Apple Green and Basic White card stock to create the sentiment panel.  Stamp the sentiment in Granny Apple Green ink.

5.  Add a bow made with Whisper White Sheer Ribbon.

Here are two other cards from the class.
