Story of Elegance
Happy Friday!
I’m continuing on with Christmas in July as it Christmas in the crafting world, and also at Lisa Horton Crafts.
Today I’m sharing a card that I made with the new Candles Embossing Folder and coordinating Layering Stencils. These products are perfect for creating an easy and elegant card, especially when paired with the Ornamental Lattice dies.
Here’s the card I made.
Like all my creations, this lovely card is elegant and super easy to make.
This card is elegant and easy to create.
Elegance Made Easy
Here are the directions to create this 6″ x 8″ card. All of the products for this card are from Lisa Horton Crafts, except where noted.
Create the card front image by using the Candles layering stencils and the inks of your choice. I used: Pina Colada, Early Sunrise, Woodland Moss Matt Blending Inks, and Crushed Velvet Shimmer, Interference Ink.
Die cut the inked image using the largest stitched rectangle die in the Ornamental Lattice die set.
Die cut the large ornate die and add it to a 6″ x 8″ card front using foam tape.
Add the die cut inked image to the center of the card front using foam tape.
For the sentiment, ink a scrap piece of white card stock with Crushed Velvet Shimmer Interference Ink and die cut using the Festive Word Strips. I used both the word strip and the stitching dies. Trim to fit and glue to the card front.
Finish by adding gems if desired. I used Aura Color Essential Gems by Spellbinders.
How’s that for an easy and elegant holiday card?!
Thanks again for stopping by.

OMG!!! Sheryl, you have surpassed your normal “AMAZING” with this card to SUPER-AMAZING!
It’s stunningly beautiful. Your colors are truly elegant. I just love everything about your card: the purple poinsettias, the pine branches and the purple dots & gems in the corner balance out the card perfectly and really set the stage for your beautiful candle embossing! And I also love the delicate die-cut frame!
The card does not look easy to do but you make it sound effortless. Thanks for sharing your creative talent!

Aww Karen, thank you! It is super easy because it all stencils, embossing and die cutting. I’m so glad that you like it. Thanks for always sharing your thoughts.
