Story of Elegance

Happy Tuesday!

It’s Christmas in July in the crafting world, and also at Lisa Horton Crafts.

Today I’m sharing a card that I made with three of the new Christmas products from LHC, the Potted Poinsettia Embossing Folder and coordinating Stencil (with Die) and the Decorative Pearls Embossing Folder.   (You’ve seen these pearls a lot — I just love them and they make a gorgeous background!)

These products are really versatile and can work together for creating a variety of holiday paper crafting beauties.

Here’s the card I made.

This card is elegant and easy to create.

Elegance Made Easy

Here are the directions to create this A2 sized card.

Create the background by dry embossing an A2 sized panel of white card stock (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″) using the Decorative Pearls Embossing Folder and add to the front of an A2 sized card base.

Use Potted Poinsettia Layering Stencils by Lisa Horton Crafts to stencil the poinsettia and vase in the colors  of your choice.   Here are the inks I used: flower petals – Crushed Velvet Shimmer Cloud 9 Dye/Pigment Interference Ink, flower center – Juicy Pineapple Lisa Horton Crafts Cloud 9 Premium Dye Based Matt Blending Ink, leaves –  Garden Sage Blending Ink, vase – Milk Chocolate Rosed Interference Ink.  ( The interference inks have a beautiful shimmer that is had to capture in a photo, but is really impressive to the eye.)

Die cut the inked flower and vase emboss using the coordinating Potted Poinsettia embossing folder.  Add the die cut to the card front using foam tape for dimension.

Add a sentiment and call it done.

Thanks again for stopping by.

I’ll be sharing another card demonstation on my You Tube channel  (@elegantsentiments) on Thursday this week.  I won’t be live but the video will post at the same time Thursday at 7:00pm EST.  I hope you’ll check it out!

I wish you a wonderful week!
