Story of Elegance
Happy Tuesday!
I hope that your Easter weekend and your start to the week went well.
I was back in my craftroom at the end of the day on Sunday, and just used the products that were still on my desk from a few cards ago. Yeah.. sometimes I’m great at putting things away, and other times not so much. 🙂
So Magnolia Mood was still out, so I decided to create with it again. This time I went with some simple stamping, a little coloring and a few embellishments.
Here’s today’s card:
There is so much detail in this beautiful stamp that coloring is a breeze. A foiled sentiment works great with this card.
Elegance Made Easy
Following are the quick steps to recreate this card.
First, make your cuts:
- Bubble Bath card stock 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″
- Basic White card stock – 4″ x 5 1/4″ (two pieces)
- Gorgeous Grape card stock – 4 1/2″ x 5″
- Dies
- Use any die of your choice and stamp a preferred sentiment. ( I used one that was in my little bin of foiled sentiments that I keep on hand to easily complete a card.)
- Punches
- None
Add the Bubble Bath panel to the front of an A2 card base made with Thick White Basic White card stock. (Note: An A2 card base is made by cutting an 8 1/2″ x 11″ piece of Thick card stock in half on the long side. Score the 5 1/2″ by 8 1/2″ (half sheet) of card stock at 4 1/4 “.)
Use Copper Clay ink and the large stamp from the Magnolia Mood stamp set to randomly stamp the flower onto one of the Basic White panels.
Color the stamped panel with Bubble Bath and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends.
Add a strip of Bubble Bath sheer ribbon to the lower portion of the colored panel, then add to the card front.
Finish the card front by Silve Festive Pearls and the sentiment on top of the ribbon.
For the inside of the card, use the smaller flower and stamp it in Copper Clay ink and color to coordinate in the corner of the second Basic White card stock panel.
Complete the project by stamping and coloring the envelope front and flap to match.
Finding Your Creative Elegance
