Story of Elegance

It’s Friday – Yay!   I’m glad you stopped by.

On Tuesday I was celebrating Autumn, so today I’m celebrating Winter.  And Snowflakes.  I like snowflakes, but mainly on cards and the Hallmark holiday movies that I watch, or whenever I can enjoy them from the warmth of my home.  🙂

I really like the Wintry 3D embossing folder, so I paired it with Tidings of Christmas DSP for today’s card.  It was quick and easy to pull this snowy card together.

Here’s the simple color palate I used.

Holiday card made with Stampin' Up! products

I really like this color combination and the beautiful piece of DSP was perfect for this project.  I did give the DSP a little extra texture by embossing it with the retired Winter Snow embossing folder.

A Closer Look

Elegance Made Easy

To recreate this card,  cut a 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ piece of Real Red card stock and adhere to a card base made of Thick Basic White card stock.

Cut a piece of  Tidings of Christmas DSP  to 4″ x 5 1/4″.  Emboss a 2 3/4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Basic White card stock with the Wintry 3D embossing folder and adhere to the center of the DSP.  Add a strip of Real Red Mini Ruffled Ribbon along the left side of the embossed piece and add the DSP panel to the card base.

Next, cut a piece of embossed Tidings of Christmas DSP to 4 ” x 3/4″.  Stamp the sentiment onto a piece of Basic White card stock using Real Red ink and trim to 1/2″ x 2 5/8″.   I used a sentiment from the Merry Snowflakes stamp set.  Add the sentiment to the DSP and add the sentiment panel to the card using a piece of foam adhesive sheet.

Add Rhinestone Basic Jewels that have been colored using the Dark Real Red Stampin’ Blends.
