Happy Friday! I’m so glad you stopped by for a visit.
Today, I’m playing with the new Peony Garden Suite and I’m in L-O-V-E! The papers, colors , stamps, dies – everything is simply stunning. Here’s a look at the full suite. So many goodies!!
Peony Garden Suite
So what do you think? I love the color palette of this suite. It’s so soft and elegant. Ooh la la! I chose to work with Petal Pink and Gray Granite for my card today.
Peony Garden Sympathy Card
Sympathy Card with Envelope
This card is chock full of layers and texture. I used the border die to cut the scrolled edge on the base panel. A layer of the Peony Garden DSP is added to the base panel and the Gray Granite shimmer ribbon covers the seam. I wanted a little more texture behind the flower, so I die cut a square using the Layering Square dies and topped it with a Square Vellum Doily. I adhered the Doily to the square all around, but when I make this card again, I think I would only adhere the doily at the center. This would allow for a little movement . I used Gray Granite ink to stamp the large flower and die cut it . The sentiment panel is another Layering Square die set on the diagonal and it’s accented with two Elegant Faceted Gems.
And of course, I couldn’t move on without a monochromatic fave. I opted for Gray Granite and used the same design as the card above without the panel behind the flower.
