Hello! Welcome to Tuesday!

With so much busyness, confusion and strife going on around these days, I love that I can escape it all in my craft room. In here it’s quiet and peaceful and simple fun. I like simple times and simple cards. Today I’m sharing another simple and elegant card that I made using the Simply Succulent set. Simple is definitely the order of the day!

I chose two soft simple colors from our gorgeous array of beautiful colors. I love how these colors work together. Rococo Rose is one of my favorite colors. And it along with Seaside Spray will be leaving the line this summer when our new catalog becomes available, so I want to use it as much as I can between now and then.

Simply Succulent Thanks

Although I was unable to find a camera angle that shows it, the succulent and the sentiment are heat-embossed to add a tiny bit of shine.

A closer look

One thing that made this card so quick to make is the simple stamping and coloring. There’s only two stamps and minimal coloring. Super easy!

Following are the steps I used to create this card:

1. Cut a 3 3/4″ x 5″ panel of Misty Moonlight card stock and adhere to a card base made with Thick Basic White card stock.

2. Cut a 3 5/8″ x 4 7/8″ panel of Rococo Rode card stock and center onto the Misty Moonlight panel.

3. Cut a 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″ panel of Basic White card stock. Stamp the large Succulent from the Simply Succulent stamp set in Misty Moonlight in and heat emboss with clear embossing powder. Color the tips of the succulent with Light Seaside Spray and Light Rococo Rose Stampin’ Blends.

4. Stamp the sentiment in the lower right corner in Misty Moonlight ink and heat emboss with clear embossing powder.

5. Add Seaside Spray faceted gems from the 2019-2021 In Color Faceted Gems.
