Story of Elegance
Hello!
Happy Tuesday. I hope that you had a great holiday yesterday and are off to a great start this week.
I had a nice weekend with the extra treat of being able to craft with my upline and stampin’ friends at a Stampin’ Up! online stamping event called Creativity Now!
During the event, we made several projects using the new Splendid Day product suite. This suite of products will be available July 1 when our new July – December 2022 mini catalog launches. There was lots of fun, laughter, food and comradery during the 4 hour time slot. The time really flew by! It always does when you’re having fun, doesn’t it?
I enjoyed crafting with the suite that I was able to purchase early (one of the many perks of being a Demonstrator) so I decided to make two projects using various products from the suite for my blog this week. I hope you enjoy the Sneak Peek!
Today I’m using the Splendid Thoughts bundle which is comprised of the Splendid Thoughts stamp set and the Splendid Stems die set. I also used a bit of the Splendid Day Specialty Designer Series Paper.
I really like the foiling in our Speciality Designer Series Paper (SDSP) and the Splendid Day SDSP doesn’t disappoint! The collection contains Copper, Soft Seaform, Fresh Freesia and Sahara Sand foils and they are gorgeous.
I used a bit of the Copper foil for this project.
I also used a bit of the Copper foil for the inside of the card, that I die-cut using the Basic Borders dies.
Elegance Made Easy
Following are the quick steps to recreate this card.
First, make your cuts:
- Basic White card stock – 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Rose Gold Foil – 3 5/8″ square
- Mossy Meadow card stock – 3 1/2″ square
- Die cuts:
- 2″ circle using Stylish Shapes dies and Copper foil from Splendid Day SDSP
- 2 Bowl shapes using Splendid Stems dies – cut 1 from Rose Gold foil and 1 from Copper foil. Cut the center from the Copper foil bowl and adhere it to the center of the Rose Gold foil bowl.
- 5 leaf shapes from the Splendid Stems dies, cut 3 from Basic White card stock and cut 2 from Copper foil
- 4″ x 2″ Copper foil using the Basic Border dies (for card inside panel)
Next, stamp the sentiment on the bottom center of 4″ x 5 1/4″ Basic White card stock panel using Mossy Meadow ink.
Layer an A2 card base made with Thick Basic White card stock with the stamped panel. Add the Rose Gold Foil square and Mossy Meadow card stock square to the stamped panel above the stamped sentiment.
Adhere the die cut circle to the center of the Mossy Meadow circle, add the leaves to the back of the assembled die cut bowl, and add the bowl to the circle using Dimensionals. If desired, add a bow to the finished bowl.
Finish by adding Pearl Basic Jewels to the card front and stamping leaves on the front and flap of the envelop using Mossy Meadow ink.
Until then,
Live Graciously!
Beautiful card. So fun crafting with you on Saturday. I knew you would love this suite
A little behind in my responses. Thank you Lynn!
