Today I was playing with one of my favorite things in the July-December 2023 mini catalog – the Splendid Day suite of products. You know that if I’m being honest, all my products are my favorite though. 😉
I love the soft colors and the beautiful papers that are in this suite.

There are some many wonderful elements in this suite, from the metallic papers to the cute open leaf trinkets. I just love them!
A Closer Look
Elegance Made Easy
Following are the quick steps to recreate this card.
First, make your cuts:
- Splendid Day Designer Series Paper (DSP) – 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Metallic Splendid Day DSP – 3″ x 3 3/4″
- Soft Succulent Satin Shimmer ribbon – 4 1/4″ (angle the ends)
- White Frayed ribbon – 4 1/2″ (angle at ends)
- Die cuts:
- With Basic White card stock, stamp and heat emboss the sentiment and die cut using the second smallest die from the Tailor Made Tags die set.
- Punch:
- None
Adhere the Soft Seafoam DSP panel to an A2 card base ( 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored on the long side at 4 1/4″) made with Thick Basic White card stock.
Angle the Metallic DSP onto the card.
Tie the Open Leaf Trinket to the die cut sentiment by making a bow with a piece of ribbon.
Add the two pieces of ribbon to the card front, then add the assembled sentiment with Dimensionals.
Finish by adding Heart Pearls.
For the inside, I added a small strip of Soft Seafoam DSP to coordinate with the card front.
To complete the project, add DSP to the envelope flap.
