Story of Elegance
Happy Friday!
I’m so happy for the weekend. Not because of work but because I have received my new Lisa Horton products and I only have one event this weekend so I should have time to play in my craftroom with my goodies. Woohoo!
Of course I had to get an early start and try a couple of the products from the Spotlight Frames and Florals Collection by Lisa Horton for Spellbinders.
I used one of the Spotlight Circle Duo press plates and Layering Anemones floral dies to create today’s card.
Here’s the card I created:
I really like the versatility of press plates, as you can foil with them or use a letterpress. Options are always wonderful. It’s two for one. That’s always a good deal.
Elegance Made Easy
Here are the directions to create this A2 sized card.
Cut a panel of white card stock to 4 ” x 5 1/4″.
Use one of the Spotlight Circle press plates to foil onto the white card stock panel just below center. Foil a sentiment of your choice beneath the foiled circle. (I used Blush Foil by Spellbinders.) Add the foiled panel to a 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ black card stock panel and add the combined panel to the front of an A2 card base.
Use the Lisa Horton Crafts solid foil plate to foil a small area onto a scrap piece of white card stock. The scrap needs to be big enough to cut 5 of the flower center die from the Layered Anemone die set.
Die cut 5 flower centers from the foiled scrap and 5 small flowers (both pieces) from a scrap of white card stock.
Use glue to assemble the flower petals and centers and add the flowers to the card front. I used foam squares to mount 3 of the flowers and placed the two between them using glue.
And you’re done! How easy is that?!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
I hope that you have a fantastic week!
I’ll be back on Tuesday with another card to share. Please stop by and check it out.
Until next time,
