Story of Elegance
Hi there!
Thank you for stopping by.
I hope that you had a fun weekend. I had a family filled weekend, so that is always fun. I also had some time to sit and enjoy my flowers and watch the birds at my feeders – a little slice of joy.
Yesterday I had a chance to play with a Lisa Horton embossing folder and stencil set that is only available at Scrapbook.com. It’s called Spring Bloom.
Here’s the card I made:
This is a great set to use when time is at a premium. I used Dusty Rose, Straw Hat and Natural Turquoise Cloud 9 Matt Blending Inks to stencil the flower and then embossed it.
Elegance Made Easy
Here are the directions to create this A2 sized card.
Cut a panel of white card stock to 41/4 ” x 5 1/2″.
Use the Spring Bloom stencils to ink blend the floral image onto the white card stock panel and use the largest stitched die from the Ornamental Lattice die set to die cut the image. The colors I used are noted above, but any colors you love will work.
Emboss the die cut image using the Spring Bloom embossing folder and add to the front of an A2 card base.
For the sentiment I used the new A Little Hello Sentiments set that is part of the Spotlight Frames & Florals Collection by Lisa Horton Crafts for Spellbinders. You can use colored card stock to die cut the triple layered sentiment. If you don’t have coordinating colors on hand, you can ink blend white card stock to match the ink colors you choose.
Assemble the Hello sentiment. I heat embossed the coordinating sentiment using white embossing powder to coordinate. Add both to the card front and you’re done!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
I hope that you have a fantastic week!
I’ll be live on Thursday at 7:00pm EST to share another card. I hope that you’ll join me!
Until next time,
