Story of Elegance

Hello!

Happy Tuesday!  I hope that all is well with you.  Thank you for stopping by.  I’ve missed being here with you, but I had a lovely time with family who were visiting last week from Virginina and California.  We had great times and created some lovely memories.  I’m so grateful for the love of family and friends.

I’m back in my craft room this week with the Stars At Night bundle.  This bundle is special as it contains the stamp set and a hybrid embossing folder that includes 14 dies.  Of course, you can save 10% by purchasing these items as a bundle  rather than individually.  It’s a great set that you’ll definitely want to include in your stash.

This week I will be sharing cards that I have made using this bundle.

Here is today’s card:

I like this card because it is easy and elegant and has lots of texture.

Elegance Made Easy

Following are the quick steps to recreate this card.

First, make your cuts:

  • Gold Foil card stock – 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″
  • Blackberry Bliss card stock – 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Very Vanilla card stock – 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Die cuts:
    •  Use Gold Foil to die cut 3 stars
    • Stamp the sentiment in Blackberry Bliss ink onto a scrap of Very Vanilla card stock and die cut using the rounded rectangle from the Nested Essential die sets
  • Punches
    • None

Adhere  the Gold Foil panel to the front of an A2 card base made with Thick Very Vanilla card stock.   (Note: An A2 card base is made by cutting an 8 1/2″ x 11″  piece of Thick card stock in half on the long side.  Score the 5 1/2″ by 8 1/2″  (half sheet) of card stock at 4 1/4 “.)

Dry emboss the Blackberry Bliss panel using the Stars At Night embossing folder and and to the card front.

Add the die cut stars and sentiment to the embossed panel.

Place Adhesive Backed Star Trinkets to the center of the three stars and around the card front.

For the inside, I printed my greeting onto the 4″ x 5 1/4” Very Vanilla panel and stamped stars around it with Blackberry Bliss ink.

To complete the project,  stamp the envelope front and back to coordinate.
