Story of Elegance
Happy Wednesday! Thank you for stopping by. I’m continuing this week to share cards from the August InKing Royal card challenge. Today I’m sharing card 11 of the 15 day challenge.
My card features our new Stitched Triangle dies and the gorgeous Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper. This beautiful paper is flocked vellum and adds such lovely detail to any project. Because the vellum is sheer you can use it with any color you like. For this card I wanted a non-traditional look for Christmas, so I went with Petal Pink.
Here’s how I created this card:
1: Cut a 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8 ” piece of Petal Pink card stock.
2: Cut a 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ piece of Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper and adhere to the Petal Pink panel.
3. Adhere a 6″ length of Petal Pink Metallic Edged ribbon to the left side of the panel. Adhere the panel to a Thick Whisper White card stock card base. PSSST….. This ribbon is on clearance in CLEARANCE RACK. All products in the rack are first-come- first served.
4: Die cut the stitched Triangle in Petal Pink using the Stitched Triangle dies.
5: Die cut the Christmas tree in Whisper White card stock using the In The Woods Dies.
6: Stamp the sentiment in Petal Pink in on a scrap piece of paper. I chose this sentiment from the Itty Bitty Greetings. Die cut the sentiment using the Stitched Rectangle dies. Adhere sentiment to the base of the tree. TIP: You can die cut rectangle or square shapes twice to create a custom size. I wanted this sentiment panel to also so double as the tree base, so I used this trick.
7. Tie a single knot ribbon onto the 6″ length and add Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the sentiment panel and tree top.
