Story of Elegance

Greetings, my fellow paper crafting enthusiasts, and Happy Tuesday!

For those of you who have been following my blog for some time now, you already know the joy and satisfaction that comes from creating beautiful handmade cards.  You understand the power of a heartfelt message shared through a beautifully crafted card. It’s why I believe in spreading kindness, one card at a time. (And I hope you do as well.)

Ultimately, the true essence of crafting kindness through greeting cards is the process of creating..

There’s something truly special about taking simple materials like paper, scissors, and glue, and transforming them into a work of art that brings a smile to someone’s face.

At its core, paper crafting is all about creating. It’s a chance to unleash your imagination and explore your creativity, whether you’re designing a card for a friend or experimenting with new techniques and materials.

Of course, the joy of paper crafting isn’t just in the creating – it’s also in the giving. A handmade card is a beautiful way to show someone how much you care, whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply sending a note of encouragement. It’s a small act of kindness that can have a big impact on someone’s day.

With that in mind, today I’m sharing a card that I made with the new Timeless Arrangements bundle, comprised of a stamp set and coordinating dies of the same name.  Crafting a little kindness is super easy with this lovely bundle!

A Closer Look

Elegance Made Easy

Following are the quick steps to recreate this card.

First, make your cuts:

  • Lemon Lolly card stock – 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″
  • Garden Green card stock – 3 5/8″ x 4 7/8″
  • Basic White card  – 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″
  • Die cuts:
    • Use Bubble Bath, Lemon Lolly and Garden Green card stock to die cut flowers and leaves
    • Stamp the sentiment in Garden Green ink onto a scrap of Basic White card stock and die cut
  • Punches:
    • None

Emboss the Lemon Lolly card stock panel using the 3D basics embossing folder and add to an A2 card base made with Thick Basic White card stock.  Note: An A2 card base is made by cuttin an 8 1/2″ x 11″  piece of thick card base in half.  Use score and fold  the 5 1/2″ by 8 1/2″  half of card stock at 4 1/4 “.

Use the Small Blending brush and Azure Afternoon ink to color the top two-thirds of the Basic White card stock panel.  Stock stamp flowers and leaves around the perimeter of the card panel and color the flowers using Stampin’ Blends.

Arrange and stack the die cut flowers and leaves together and add to the back of the die cut sentiment.  Add the sentinent panel to the card front using Dimensionals.  Add a bow made with Sheer Lemon Lolly ribbon to the side of the sentiment panel using Mini Glue Dots.

For the inside, I stamped the leaves and a flower in Garden Green ink and colored the flower with Light Lemon Lolly Blends.

To complete the project, stamp a leaf and flowers on the envelope front and flap to coordinate.
