Hello and welcome to 2021! I hope that you had a safe and enjoyable holiday season. I’m excited for the fresh start that the New Year brings.

This card features the new Double Oval Punch – which I love and the new TRUE LOVE Designer Series Paper. I love black and white cards and this paper is marvelous!

A Closer Look

As soon as I saw this pattern, I immediately went for the Ornate Floral Embossing Folder. It works perfectly with this design.

Here’s are steps to create this card:

1: Cut a 4″ x 5 1/4″ panel of Silver Foil card stock and adhere to a card base made of Basic Black card stock.

2. Emboss a 3 3/4″ x 5″ panel of Whisper White card stock using the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder.

3: Adhere a 1 1/4″ x 5″ strip of striped True Love DSP to the center of the card. Layer a 6 inch strip of Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon across the center of strip. Adhere ribbon on the back and then add to the Silver Foil Panel. (If you’ll notice I didn’t do that and there is fraying on the edges of the ribbon where I cut it. Ooops!)

4. Use the two largest dies from the Layering Ovals die set to cut a scalloped oval in Basic Black and a smooth edged oval with the second largest die in True Love DSP.

5. Create the sentiment panel by stamping the sentiment from the Special Occasions stamp set onto an oval cut with the Double Oval punch. Punch a scalloped oval with the punch in Basic Black. Assemble the sentiment panel to the die cut panel. Adhere to the card using Dimensionals.

6. Add a bow made with Silver Metallic Edged ribbon with glue dots to the sentiment panel.

7. Stamp or print your greeting onto a 4″ x 5 1/4″ panel of Whisper White cardstock and adhere to the inside of the card.
