Story of Elegance

Hello and Welcome!  Well, technology got the better of me on Friday, so I was not able to post as planned.  But all is well and functioning again in “blog land” for me.  Who says nothing good can come from a Monday? ha ha

Now that I’m back in the saddle, here is the card that I wanted to share with you on Friday.  I used a trio of different products to create the card I’m sharing.   I really like the sentiment from the Wrapped in Christmas bundle and it was my starting point.  I think the font is so elegant.  I knew I wanted to try out the Detailed Dove Die Set and the Warm Wraps dies so that’s exactly what I did.  Here’s what I came up with.

A closer look

Here’s how I created this card:

1: Cut a 3 5/8″ x 5 ” piece of Gold Foil card stock and adhere to a Thick Very Vanilla card stock  card base.

2:  Cut a 3 1/2″ and 4 5/8″ piece of Very Vanilla card stock.  Emboss with Parisian Flourish  embossing folder and adhere to the Gold Foil.

3: Use Versa Mark to stamp the sentiment on a piece of Very Vanilla card stock .  Emboss with Gold embossing powder.  Die cut the sentiment with a wrap die from the Warm Wraps die set. Remove the tab from the die cut to create a two straight sides on the sentiment panel.

4:  Die cut the border for the sentiment panel  in Gold Foil using the dies from Warm Wraps die set.  Adhere to the bottom of the sentiment panel and add to the embossed card front at the bottom.

5: Die cut the Dove in Very Vanilla card stock using the Detailed Dove die set.

6. Die cut a leaf using the die from the Detailed Dove die set from a scrap piece of Old Olive card stock.

7: Adhere a Gold Hoop Embellishment to the card.  Add the die cut dove to the hoop and adhere the die cut leaf to the dove beak.
